WWF NAMES VIZEUM UK AS MEDIA AGENCY
Vizeum UK has been selected to handle all media planning and buying in the UK for the world’s largest independent conservation organisation, WWF.
The agency, part of Dentsu Aegis Network, won the account following a three-month competitive pitch process against five other agencies. The review was handled by Ebiquity.
Vizeum will now help WWF-UK as it continues its mission to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together. This includes greater focus on reversing the effects humanity has on the planet’s natural resources, such as reducing our reliance on single-use plastics and carbon emissions.
Kerry Blackstock, Director of Relationship Marketing, WWF-UK said: “We are destroying our planet faster than ever. We are the first generation to realise our full impact on the world and we are the last one that can do anything about it. Raising awareness of the challenges we face and inspiring people to take action will be essential as we fight to protect our planet for future generations. We look forward to working with Vizeum who we hope will help us achieve our goals and succeed in this most vital mission.”
Jem Lloyd-Williams, Chief Executive, Vizeum UK said: “We’re immensely proud to be working with WWF. We are raring to go to help them on their mission to help save humanity from itself. We brought together specialists from across the network – from content ideas to data specialists and tech partners – to answer a tough brief. And I’m absolutely delighted we impressed the team at WWF and won the account.”
As part of their work together, all Vizeum employees will be offered two additional days’ volunteering time to work on WWF projects. Dentsu Aegis Network, meanwhile, is completing an overhaul of its own use of consumable materials including the use of single-use plastics across its London offices.
Uncommon will continue to handle all creative having been appointed in March this year.
